The Now

As a creative content writer I spend a lot of time on my laptop.

so I made it my point to put everything aside more and live in the Now.

With that I mean I put everything I am doing on hold for a while and just I just go for a walk, most of the time with my family but I also enjoy my Me Moments.

A wise man once said that life should be lived in the Now and not have the body in here and the mind in the Tomorrow. We can look forward to each tomorrow but it's never guaranteed.

NF feat. Andreas Moss gave Being lost in the moment poetic meaning when they sing the following in their song Lost in the Moment:

"Yeah, they told us that time flies, didn't know what it means

Now I feel like we just running around tryna

Catch it and hoping to cut up its wings"

The other day I dropped off my wife Leila and our daughter Ondeya at the weekly baby class in Riga, where they mingle with other babies and mothers(all with valid Covid19 vaccination certificates).

So I found myself in the centre of Riga with an hour and half to myself, I took in a deep breath of the cold crisp Autumn air and started walking directionless.

Different people passed me by, some in a hurry, others strolling, a mother pulled her young daughter who wanted to cross a red traffic light by the hand.

Construction workers on the side walk were having a break while puffing on cigarettes.

I love to walk, observe and just get lost in Riga. I feel like a movie director looking for new

stories.

Almost automatically I took my phone out and decided to capture some of the interesting buildings I passed.

The Art Nouveau architecture in Riga makes up roughly one third of all the buildings in the centre of Riga, making Latvia's capital the city with the highest concentration of Art Nouveau architecture anywhere in the world.

I am foremost a writer but of late photography is intriguing me and I believe I am getting better and getting my shots right( let the professionals judge).

So there I was Lost in the Moment on a cold autumn day in Riga centre, time flying by so fast that I almost forgot that I had to pick up my wife and daughter from the baby class.

These days most of us are trapped in a cycle of being too busy working, worrying about the future, finances, Covid19 pandemic and the list goes on.

We forget that life is found in the Now, sometimes all it takes is a walk, meditation and fresh air to remind us to live just a little more in the moment.
