I love being a creative visual and audio artist. Recently Casting Bridge once again gave me the opportunity to act as an extra in a detective series, that is currently being shot in and around Riga.
Early Wednesday morning our driver came to pick me up at 05h40 am whilst it was still dark outside and rather cold. Later it started raining too as we drove to a cemetery in Riga where the shooting was taking place.
On set all extras and actors had to undergo a rapid Covid19 test, otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to participate.
All I know about the movie for now is that it is an English detective series directed by the Russian director Igor Zaicev. It remained cold throughout the day and warm coffee did the trick. After repeated takes the film shooting moved location to the Dome church in Old town.
It was a great pleasure to feature alongside renowned and known actors such as Latvia's Mārtiņš Vilsons.
The film shoot took the whole day and we called it a wrap around 7pm, afterwards Toms one of the fellow extras in the film and I headed to Old town where we finished off with a night cap. It was also the last night where restaurants and bars were open, as Latvia went into a hard lockdown from the 21 October.
I will have 3 more film shooting days and I want to thank the great team from Casting Bridge for giving me these nice opportunities to be part of the Latvian filming experiences.
